PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
In accordance with Chapter 8A, Article 5, Section 8 of the Code of West Virginia 2004, as amended, the Berkeley County Planning Commission will hold a public hearing to consider the public comments on the following projects:
PRELIMINARY PLAT REVIEW – Willow Glen – The project proposes 17 single family lots, 117 townhouse lots, and 1 (one) commercial lot on approximately 26.66 acres. The property is located on Route 51, in the Mill Creek Tax District. Rick Wilson; applicant. File # 076-06.
PRELIMINARY PLAT REVIEW – Chessie Court – The project proposes 23 single family lots on approximately 4.85 acres. The property is located on Cheshire Lane, 1/3 mile south of Route 51, in the Mill Creek Tax District. Phil Cogar Excavating; applicant. File # 017-07.
PRELIMINARY SITE PLAN REVIEW – Burger King at Potomac Station – The project proposes a fast food restaurant on approximately 1.16 acres. The property is located north of Route 901 and west of I-81, in the Falling Waters Tax District. Rental Properties; applicant. File # 004-08.
PRELIMINARY SITE PLAN REVIEW – Shenandoah Veterinary Hospital – The project proposes a veterinary hospital on approximately 2.167 acres. The property is located at 1152 Shepherdstown Road, approximately 360’ east of the junction of Route 45 and Route 45/6 (Jenny Wren Drive), in the Opequon Tax District. Gilpin Enterprises; applicant. REQUEST FOR PLAN CHANGE – 167th Federal Credit Union – The applicant is requesting a Plan Change to add a roof for attached pavilion with a sidewalk, to eliminate east side sidewalk, to relocate owner sign, add a flag pole, and eliminate two site pole lights. REQUEST FOR PLAN CHANGE – Quad Graphics Pallet Storage Shed, LDU – The applicant is requesting a Plan Change to install a new road. REQUEST FOR VARIANCE – William Price – The applicant is requesting a Variance of Section 605(k)a of the Subdivision Regulations to reduce the minimum lot size from 7,500 sq. ft. to 5,366 sq. ft. REQUEST FOR VARIANCE – Geraldine Martin – The applicant is requesting a Variance to allow the family transfer lot to be sold due to death of family member. The property is located on 125 Drake Avenue, in the Falling Waters Tax District. Geraldine Martin; applicant. File # M041-07
The PUBLIC HEARING will be held on Monday, June 9, 2008, in the Planning Commission office, 400 West Stephen Street, in the City of Martinsburg at 7:00 p.m. All persons and agencies having an interest on said plats are invited to attend this hearing and make their comments known.
