MEMORANDUM

 

The following new policies and procedures for Minor and Major/LDU projects shall be effective June 1, 2006:

 

MAJOR SUBDIVISIONS

In order to schedule a preliminary 1st submittal STAC meeting ALL applicable permits must be submitted to the Planning Department. Applicable permits include but are not limited to:
Water Availability letter from Berkeley County Public Service District
Sewer Availability letter from Berkeley County Public Service District
For Mainline Extensions of Water/Sewer: West Virginia State Health Department Permits for Water/Sewer
Berkeley County Health Department Stamped and Approved Plat and an approved list of perc test results for well & septic projects
Entrance permit from Division of Highways
Central Dispatch approval of all Street Names
GPP Application
NPDES Application
UIC Application (if applicable)
Traffic Impact Study (for projects over 20 lots)
School Impact Analysis (for projects over 20 lots)

 

In order to schedule a Sketch STAC meeting,  the application for the sketch plat must be completed, including the project manager’s name for correspondence, and submitted to the Planning Office at least seven (7) days prior to a meeting date.

 

Only 1 copy of permits and preliminary plans is needed in the Planning Office. 2 copies of SWM reports are still required with the first submission. Subsequent submissions must include REDLINED PLANS to be accepted and also only require one copy of any correspondence/new plans.

 

MINOR SUBDIVISIONS

·        Four (4) copies of minor subdivision plats are needed with submission and/or subsequent reviews

·        Completed checklists are also required to be submitted with the initial application package.
