RANGE $16,970.00 TO $18,450.00 BASED ON EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
The
general responsibilities include: receiving
and entering requests for address assignments into a computer database.
Using Global Positioning Satellite Equipment and GIS Tablet to
precisely locate and establish physical addresses for occupied
structures (current and new constructions) as well as adding new roads
and/or extending existing roads as development requires.
Preparing information for electronic transfer to consulting firm
for updating of base mapping currently in place.
Completing notification of address assignment, including
entering, updating and maintaining information in computer database.
Assisting individuals with other addressing issues.
Scanning files for archiving purposes.
Responding to and interacting with other agencies and offices to
obtain materials and correspondence, and any other duties as assigned by
the Director necessary for the efficient operation of the administrative
office of Berkeley County Central Dispatch.
The
successful candidate will possess a high school diploma or GED and have
a valid operator’s license. The
successful candidate will also be proficient in the use of a GIS Tablet,
knowledge and usage of Microsoft Office Suites and electronic transfer
of data files.
